A year-long series of events will be held on Island next year to honour nurses and midwives.
It comes as the World Health Organisation (WHO) has designated 2020 'Year of the Nurse & Midwife' to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
Director of Nursing, Cath Quilliam, says everyone including hospital practitioners, GP practices, Hospice and residential homes are all encouraged to get involved.
The calendar of occasions will start in January with a past & present display of midwifery over the last century and is hoped to conclude in December with an awards ceremony.
