A view of the Island from space

An astronaut who is married to a Manxman has posted a photograph of the Isle of Man on social networking site Twitter.

Nicole Stott took a picture from space and said the Island 'got lucky with a clear day pass.'

It was taken during her time on board Discovery during its final mission in March when they visited the International Space Station.

She is married to the Island's space ambassador Chris Stott.
