A 90-year-old Ramsey man has abseiled down Liverpool Cathedral all in the name of charity.
Alan Cope completed a 100-metre section down the landmark and is expected to raise around £5,000 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
He was joined in the challenge by his partner, Marion, and friend, Paul Atkinson - Alan says the support from others 'could not have been more helpful'.
His travel was supported by the Steam Packet Company, whose chief executive, Mark Woodward, is praising Mr Cope's sense of adventure and enthusiasm and being able to help an 'invaluable cause'.
