An extra £8million in funding has been approved for the Islands health service.
The money for this financial year was granted following a vote in Tynwald yesterday afternoon.
Health Minister, David Ashford MHK made the request after revealing to the court last month his department is currently projected to be around £5.4million over budget.
An amendment from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper was also added, meaning the DHSC must submit plans and a timeline to bring staffing costs into line with the pre-approved budget no later than June.
