£80 million will be spent on Island's harbours

£80 million plans to improve the Island's harbours will go ahead.

Proposed plans to start work on the Island's harbours over the next three years were approved by Tynwald earlier today.

The Harbours Strategy, moved by Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer includes a 24-hour Marina in Port St Mary, and a £11 million deep water berth in Douglas.

The work is estimated to cost around £80.37 million in total.
