Minister Anderson Urged to Give Public Statement on Future of RHA
8 members of Tynwald have sent a plea to the Minister for Health David Anderson to make a full and unequivocal public statement with regards to the Reciprocal Health Agreement.
What is known is that negotiations are ongoing with the Secretary for Health in the UK to secure either a further extension or a whole new agreement.
Among the 8 members are Speaker of the House Steve Rodan, and MHK’s Quintin Gill and Brenda Cannell.
As it stands the current agreement expires at the end of September and the members feel that any Islanders making travel plans from October 1st onwards need reassurance that something will be in place by this time.
