Police have confirmed a 70 year old has been flown to the UK for medical treatment following a collision on Lezayre Road this afternoon.
The serious incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, and resulted in a helicopter landing in the area.
The road is still currently closed from Gardeners Lane to Bircham Avenue, and Police can't yet confirm when the road will re-open.
Anyone who witnessed anything in the area at around 2:50pm is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 631212.
