£7 million left in regeneration scheme pot

68 projects have already received funding, several more are in the pipeline.

The Isle of Man’s multi-million pound regeneration project is well underway with two major projects nearing completion.

The Town and Village Regeneration Scheme was set up in 2009 with a funding pot of £8 million.

The aim is to offer funding for rejuvenation schemes, which will breath life into the Island’s commercial centres.

68 projects have already received funding, several more are in the pipeline.

Nelson Street in Douglas and the Lanes in Ramsey are the highest profile projects so far, but with still £7 million left in the fund they say this is just the beginning.

Work on Strand Street will start later in the month.
