Commissioners say rising waste costs have led to an inflation-busting rates rise this year.
The local authority says it'll be raising rates by 11p over the next year, with an increase from 136 to 147 pence in the pound.
That means a rise of 7.5%, more than half of which will go towards paying 22.5% more to the Southern Civic Amenity Site.
Chairman David Radcliffe says the authority's rates are the lowest of any southern board.
