£600,000 needed for live fire training facility

Plans are in place for a new state of the art training facility for firefighters on the Island.

The live fire training base would be housed at the rear of the Energy from Waste Plant and would be used to simulate real-life emergencies.
 
If Tynwald approves the £607,000 spend it would negate the need for the firefighters to travel to the UK for training - that would save around £50,000 a year.
