An Onchan man has been fined £600 after 'going mental' in a restaurant on Black Eye Friday.
21-year-old Alistair Robert Allen had to be dragged out of Barbary Coast in Douglas by his colleagues after an argument got out of hand on December 21.
At Douglas Courthouse this week Allen, of Windermere Drive, admitted disorderly behaviour on licenced premises.
His advocate told the court Allen had been provoked by another man who'd gripped him around the throat adding: "He's now lost his good character."
Passing sentence Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said the offence had been committed 'on what was probably the busiest day of the year on the Isle of Man'.
She ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £125 and also imposed a one-month licensing ban.
