There are 1,092 patients on the waiting list, which at one point stood at 76 weeks, until weekend clinics were introduced to reduce waiting times.
A review of the waiting list has been conducted by specialists, with patients contacted to see if their symptoms have improved sufficiently enough to be discharged.
Manx Care are also undertaking a demand and capacity review to identify the gap between consultant capacity and demand from referrals to determine if additional staffing is needed.
