Flybe has confirmed that the majority of its on Island staff are to be made redundant.
As a cost saving measure the airline confirmed they would no longer have a requirement to base aircraft on the Isle of Man.
This will come into effect from 31st March.
As a consequence 49 of its 51 local employees will lose their jobs through redundancy.
Flybe has confirmed that Isle of Man passengers can still book with confidence.
There will now be consultations held with affected employees, more details will be given once these procedures have been followed through.
