Since January 2022 the Island has seen local businesses closing at an alarming rate.
Using figures collated by the Chamber of Commerce we have seen 45 businesses close their doors in this time, 30 of which came from the hospitality industry.
There have been calls from within the industry to relax VAT demands on small businesses whilst they navigate a post covid landscape, and cost of living crisis.
