A 40mph zone will be implemented on the approach to St Marks following concerns over speeding.
It comes after more than 1,200 motorists were recorded breaking the speed limit there last month.
St Marks Road will now close between 9am and 4pm for five days from Monday, August 31 while road markings are repainted.
The closure will run from Ballagarey Methodist Chapel to the junction with Orrisdale Road.
