Tynwald will be asked to approve major expenditure for essential Regional Sewerage works in next months sitting.
Chairman of the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority, MHK Tim Crookall, will ask for just shy of £40 million for the programme which will see treatment plants built around the Island.

Plans are also in place for plants in Ramsey, Jurby and Kirk Michael, aswell as a sludge treatment facility at Meary Veg.
If approved the funds will come out of the Capital Transactions Account.
It’s outlined that the borrowings would then be re-paid over a period of 50 years.
