32,000 voted in the General Election

Almost 32,000 people exercised their right to vote in the Manx General Election.

The Isle of Man went to the polls last week with 24 MHKs elected to serve the Island for the next five years. 
 
Records were made with five women being selected to take up a position within the House of Keys. 
 
The 2016 election marked the first time new electoral boundaries had been imposed - they saw the Island split into 12 equal constituencies.
