A total of 16 food outlets on the Island have closed voluntarily to sort out hygiene problems in the past two years.
A Freedom of Information request asked how many inspections had been carried out by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture since 2022 - and how many outlets had been prosecuted or given a warning.
In its response, DEFA said 15 had closed voluntarily over poor cleanliness, with one shutting because of pest control issues - all have since reopened, most within days.
The data also shows a total of 26 warnings had been handed to premises over the last two years.
