2000 families are anticipated to benefit from the amount of Child Benefit you can receive, the government claims.
In a Freedom of Information request, The Treasury was asked how many families are expected to benefit from the higher salary increase to £90,000 and receive child benefit.
In response, it says it is estimated that around 2,000 families will benefit from the £10,000 rise and includes families who are newly entitled to claim.
The increase from £80,000 to £90,000 will come into effect from April 7.
