Police say they've stopped over 200 cars in the past few weeks as they continue their winter light campaign.
Of those, 118 vehicles were given defect forms, for various work to be underaken.
Three drivers were also booked for having sub-standard tyres.
Officers are reminding people to check their cars to ensure they are roadworthy.
