A £20 bag of cannabis has cost a man £800 after magistrates heard he'd been caught with drugs for the third time.
Lewis Christian of Tromode Road in Douglas appeared before the bench at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted possessing the class B drug at a birdwatching hut at the Clypse Reservoir on December 9.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing police on patrol discovered the 21 year old in the hut with two other men at around 8pm.
They spotted a bag containing 1.2 grammes of cannabis, which Christian admitted was his.
The court heard the 21 year old had previously been referred to a drugs scheme and been given a police caution for possessing the drug.
Magistrates fined him £750 and ordered him to pay £50 costs.
