All members of staff at a Douglas bar tested for Covid-19 have come back as negative.
1886 Bar based on Regent Street temporarily closed on New Year's Day (January 1) as a precaution after a Covid positive case was found to have visited the venue between 11pm on Boxing Day (December 26) and 2am on December 27.
In an update, the venue says the health and safety of its staff and customers is of its utmost concern which is what led to the decision to close its doors.
The team there adds they will re-open on Wednesday (January 6) and are thanking government, the 111 team and the NHS for their contact tracing and the testing of staff.
