All 16-17 year olds on the Island will now be offered a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
A second dose will increase protection against the virus and reduce the risk of needing hospital treatment or transmitting the virus to vulnerable close contacts.
Anyone in this age group who has contacted Covid after having their first vaccine, will only be allowed their second dose 12 weeks after the positive test or onset of symptoms.
The rollout of second doses for young people is currently being planned by the vaccination team, who will be in touch with those eligible shortly.
