14 cruise ships to visit Island in 2012

The Isle of Man is set to play host to no less than 14 cruise ships this year, with a further 9 already booked in for 2013.

Among the vessels making the stop this year will be the 68,870 ton, Crystal Serenity; the largest ship ever to grace Douglas Bay.

The visits will herald a welcome boost to the Island's economy.

MHK for Tourism, Geoff Corkish, said, 'Isle of Man Tourism has been working hard to encourage more cruise visits during the last two years and it is pleasing that we continue to see further success for the Island.'
