A High Court trial has begun in London as the UK government tries to reclaim £122 million from a PPE company linked to Island resident Michelle Mone.
The UK's Department of Health and Social Care is suing PPE Medpro over millions of medical gowns it supplied during the pandemic after being recommended by the St Marks resident in 2020.
It claims the gowns weren't sterile or fit for purpose, which PPE Medpro denies as it defends the case
Baroness Mone's husband Doug Barrowman - also linked to the company - was in court for the start of the five-week trial this week, but neither are due to give evidence.
