Police are encouraging anybody who's been subjected to sexual abuse to get in touch after a pensioner was handed an 11 year jail term for offences against children.
John Edward Corran, of Edmund Chadwick Grove in Douglas appeared before Deemster Cook at the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing.
He'd admitted attempted rape and a number of indecent assaults against girls aged between six and 12 years old.
Welcoming the sentence, the Police Public Protection Unit says it works with Victim Support to investigate sexual abuse, and encourages anyone seeking advice to contact them on 631212.
