A man who moved to the Island this summer has been banned from driving after admitting drink-driving.
Callum McLean-Anderson of Palace View Terrace in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas on November 14.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing he was stopped by police at 3.45am as he swerved across the road in his Audi A4 convertible.
At police headquarters, testing equipment showed he was more than two and a half times over the legal alcohol limit.
He was fined £1,700 ordered to pay £125 costs and banned from the roads for three years.
He’ll also have to take an extended driving test and a drink-driving rehabilitation course before he can have his licence back.
