Wellbeing in the workplace vital for Island's growth

Businesses are being urged to think about the importance of wellbeing in the workplace.

The Department of Health and Social Care and the Chamber of Commerce are coming together for a conference aimed at senior managers across the Island. 
 
According to research workplaces can have a significant impact on people's health - time taken off for sickness is costing, on average, £554 per employee annually. 
 
The event on October 7th - which is now full - is an attempt to help employers put in place 'wellbeing initiatives' to encourage people to look after their health.
