Telecoms provider Sure says it's seen a 33 per cent increase in broadband use during the Coronavirus lockdown.
The company says with many having to work or study from home, average usage has risen from 73GB to 97GB a week per household along with a rise in calls on mobile phones.
However, Sure Isle of Man Chief Executive, Mike Phillips, says the organisation's infrastructure has been able to cope with the increased traffic and continues to help keep the community connected.
He adds a number of measures have been introduced to help residents including a home delivery service, home schooling packages and doubling its number of advisors on its webchat customer support.
