SMP Group looks set to link up with a trust and corporate services provider in Jersey.
This week the organisation has announced a deal to acquire Helm Trust Company, subject to regulatory approval.
SMP Group chief executive, David Hudson, says the agreement would prove valuable as Jersey is a 'key jurisdiction' the firm wants to invest in and Helm holds strong networks in overseas markets SMP doesn't currently have access to.
SMP Group secured regulatory approval to complete its management buyout last month.
