The chairman of the Island's Communications Commission says Manx mobile users would see their bills rise if roaming charges were cut by companies.
In Tynwald this week, Bill Malarkey MHK faced questions from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about what the body was doing to tackle roaming charges.
Mr Malarkey said the costs are regulated by the EU and set by Island companies.
But he said if roaming charges were scrapped by the firms, ordinary customers would end up paying:
