The increase in flight prices on Island have been attributed to a rise in the rate of inflation.
According to the government, the consumer prices index stood at 3.2 per cent in November - up from 0.9 per cent in October.
The data shows the price of air travel has risen by 45.6 percent and the price of internet subscriptions has increased by 26.5 per cent.
However, there's good news as the figures show fruit, oil and petrol have all decreased in price.
