Isle of Man Post Office is launching a new doorstep letter collection service to help benefit the more vulnerable in the community.
The initiative means posties will be able to collect pre-stamped and addressed items from outside people's homes if they're already making a delivery there, with the postal service believing it will be valuable to those who may be vulnerable or are already self-isolating.
It comes as the organisation has announced more social distancing measures in its branches and at Post Office Headquarters to prevent any potential cross-contamination between workers or customers.
Postal officials are reminding residents to not approach their postie whilst they're out on their rounds and make sure any pets are securely inside houses whilst staff are out doing deliveries.
