The government says it has no plans to offer tax relief to people who invest in local companies.
Yesterday in Tynwald, Treasury Minister Alf Cannan was quizzed on the issue by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
He wanted to know if the Island would follow in the footsteps of the UK, which has already brought in such a scheme.
But Mr Cannan said the government was already supporting local businesses:
