Plans to introduce a new liquor licence for small private events will go before Tynwald next month.
The proposed Private Event Liquor Licence would allow eligible venues to serve alcohol to up to 250 guests at invitation-only functions, such as weddings and birthday parties.
The scheme, developed following feedback from the hospitality sector, would run as an 18-month pilot from this August if approved.
The government says the changes would simplify the application process while maintaining court oversight and public safeguards.
