Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says people setting up companies on the Island now have to go through more rigorous checks to stop fraud and other crime.
He faced a question for written reply from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about what the companies registry does to detect fraudulent incorporations or directors.
Mr Johnston said in 2023, the register had introduced measures forcing people to provide more documentation when they set up companies on the Isle of Man.
And he added stringent checks had led to 356 reports from the registry to the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Financial Services Authority and other bodies in the past year.
