A Manx company has been served with a notice from Liverpool Council over a rundown landmark building it owns in the city.
Schloss Roxburghe Holdings, registered in Albert Road in Ramsey, bought the Rapid Hardware shop on Renshaw Street for £1.7 million and lodged plans to build a 142-bedroom hotel.
However, after complaints about the state of the site, the council have ordered the firm to remove all waste materials.
The local authority also stepped in to secure the site, fixing broken hoardings and fences - it says it will bill the company for the work.
