Local businesses are being asked to come up with ‘unique selling points’ for their home towns, in a bid to boost trade.
The Department for Enterprise (DfE) is holding a series of ‘branding workshops’ as part of an effort to drive footfall, employment and spend on the Manx high street.
Groups of traders from each of the towns have been asked to think about developing their own brand, and given an initial budget of £3,000.
This could include the creation of logos, merchandise, photography and enhanced social media management.
Under the scheme, each business will also be given a page on the VisitIOM website.
