A Latvian man who was booted off the Island after racking up convictions for drunkenness has lost his latest attempt to have his exclusion order overturned.
Fisherman Krists Bergmanis was convicted of public drunkenness and disorderly behaviour and was jailed in lieu of fines and banned from the Island for five years.
An appeal against the ban failed earlier this month because his advocate said he understood what it meant and agreed to it.
Now, Judge of Appeal Cross and Deemster Corlett have refused permission for him to appeal to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, saying he's a person of interest to immigration and may face deportation.
