The plight of many local businesses on the Isle of Man has been reflected in a five-year government roadmap.
The statement comes from the Chamber of Commerce after a recent meeting to discuss the Island Plan.
The paper, which sets out priorities for Alfred Cannan's administration, was published earlier this year.
It addresses issues including the housing crisis, health and social care, climate change, an ageing population and a critical shortage of skills.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister said there's a great deal of work to do but "what runs through the veins of the document is the desire and commitment to take action to deliver for the people of this island".
Chamber President Kristan McDonald said it was good to see that many of the concerns expressed by members were reflected in the draft plan.
