The government's cybersecurity office says people on the Island have lost 'significant' amounts to an investment scam in the last week.
On social media, the Cyber Security Centre for the Isle of Man said last year Manx residents lost almost £140,000.
The scams involve get-rich-quick schemes offered online, but turn out to be attempts to take either people's cash or their personal details.
The office is offering advice online on how to spot scammers and avoid being taken for a ride.
