Island inflation rose by more than one percent last month.
It stood at 3.5 per cent for the 12 months to October this year, up from 2.4 per cent in September.
The government figures show the biggest rise was for oil and other fuels, which accounted for just over 25 per cent.
However, the cost of groceries have fallen in the past year.
