HSBC is introducing a weekly 'quiet hour' to support customers with sensory sensitivities.
It will take place in Island branches every Thursday from 10:30-11:30am to create a more calming experience for those with autism, ADHD, dementia, anxiety and learning disabilities.
It will mean a reduction in background noise, with radio turned off and noise from phones limited, with staff available but not proactively approaching customers.
Alistair Philip, Head of Retail Distribution says they want to make sure customers find branches as inclusive and accessible as possible.
