Slow broadband on the Isle of Man could soon be a thing of the past, according to Chief Minister Howard Quayle.
In the House of Keys this week, Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker asjed him about improvements in internet speeds on the Island, particularly in rural areas.
In response, Mr Quayle said there are plans to introduce a national minimum connection speed of 30 megabytes a second, including those outside main towns.
The average download rate on the Island is just over 9mbps - homes in the UK get an average of 16.5.
