The Financial Services Authority is launching a review into how firms comply with counter-terrorism financing rules.
On-site inspections will begin in April and continue over the next 12 to 18 months.
It aims to assess how well businesses are complying with the Island's legislation for combatting money laundering and terrorist financing.
Officials say the project will help test controls, highlight best practice and improve the Island's response to these criminal risks.
