Expressions sought from aspiring Castletown businesses

Officials in Castletown have set up a formal process to consider applications to start up a business in the town.

Castletown Town Commissioners says it regularly receives expressions of interest from start-ups who wish to operate in the ancient capital.

Now, the local authority is inviting expressions from individuals or organisations that want to trade on public land or property which is in the comissioners' portfolio within the towns boundaries for 2021.

Public land is any land that Castletown Town Commissioners owns, manages or maintains, and is open for use to the public, however the authority adds if someone has an idea for a location which is owned by central government it will be happy to open dialogue with the relevant departments on your behalf.

Officials add it's welcoming suggestions for trading setups, including any vehicles, chairs, tables and displays and also encourage any aerial maps with proposed trading locations to be submitted.

Expressions of interest can be sent to clerk@castletown.gov.im or by post to Town Hall, Farrants Way, Isle of Man, IM9 1NR before the deadline on January 10 next year.
