John Hunter will take up the position at the Island's Cherry Godfrey office.
Mr Hunter was most recently head of Banking and Fiduciaries for the Finance Isle of Man Agency.
He has more than 35 year's experience in the sector.
Talking about his new role, Mr Hunter said: he's 'delighted' to be taking up the lead.
