The majority of businesses are paying employees the Living Wage, according to the latest government figures.
The Business Confidence Survey by the Economic Affairs Division, gathered from local employers, found most Island companies are paying its workers £8.61 an hour or more.
The new rate was introduced on the Island last year; however, companies can choose if they want to pay it as it's voluntary.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says the results of the survey are encouraging.
