Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says he can't predict whose jobs will be lost to Artificial Intelligence, but is urging people to take advantage of new jobs it creates.
He faced a question for written answer from Onchan MHK Julie Edge about what jobs AI would take and what's being done to help people facing unemployment because of the technology.
Mr Johnston said most at risk were repetitive routine manual tasks which could easily be replaced by AI.
But he said the government is spending £5 million on training to help people use the latest AI tech.
