Police are warning they're taking a zero-tolerance approach to violence - especially over the festive period.
They say any domestic violence, fighting in the streets or aggressive behaviour to members of the public or police will not be taken lightly.
Officers are asking people to consider how much they drink especially if they think they are prone to violent outbursts while intoxicated.
